Nang Rum Beach Sattahip

Near Sattahip deep-water port (Juk Samed Port)
Sattahip, Chonburi
If you feel like going to the beach, somewhere not too far and there still is a pure nature. Nang Ram Beach is the choice. This 200-meter long beach is situated close to the Sattahip deep-water port and attracts tourists who admire pristine beaches in serene settings. Located towards the end of the beach is the shrine of Kromluang Chumphonkhetudomsak, the Father of the Royal Thai Navy. The atmosphere is very peaceful with shadowy pine trees and rows of frangipani trees. Taste fresh seafood in reasonable price and stay at various kinds of accommodation: air-conditioned or fan room, and tent.

Hat Nang Rum Beach, or dancing women beach which it roughly translates to I think, has no dancing women, well I didn't see any of them dancing, nor might I add did I see any chrome or stainless poles for them to dance against.

To get there from Pattaya head towards Sattahip then onto Kilo Sip which just happens to be 10 kilometers past Sattahip, just before you get to Sattahip port take a left and follow that road.

Now this place is nice, although as it was a Sunday it was packed out, I really don't think I have seen so many Thais on a beach at the same time, I think if you went on a weekday you would be on your own, they got a couple of speedboats with the old inflatable thing and thats it, nobody bothers you every few minutes trying to sell you some useless junk, the water is nice and clean and the sand nice and fine.

Koh Kham (Sattahip Chonburi)

Koh Kham (Sattahip Chonburi)

Koh Kham , an eco-tourism site under the responsibility of the navy Sattahip, can be reached by boat about 45 minutes. Blessed with white sandy beaches, the park comprises twin mountains linked together with stretching land. Diving with snorkel to appreciate fantastic coral reefs is possible.
This peaceful landscaped island is beautified with flowers, gardens, plants, white sandy beaches and fabulous coral reefs. It also has rare plants and sea flowers.

According to the Royal Thai Navy officers, this island is one of the country’s three islands under the “Pilot Project” promotional campaign for preserving the coral. Around the island there are coral reef rehabilitation areas, which will then be relocated. This task of relocation was made possible by the cooperation between the naval officers and academics from institutes concerned with further study on the growing of more varieties of coral. The reefs are now the habitat of fish, oysters, and other seas animals.

Koh Kham could be said to be another paradise and a chance for tourists and visitors to enjoy, relax, and swim in the clear waters. For tourists wishing to visit the Koh Kham Underwater Park, boats can be hired at Sattahip to go directly to Koh Kham. From there, travelers can continue cruising by boat to look at Mark island which is also rich in beautiful scenery.

A visit to Koh Kham’s Underwater Park

One of the highlights of a recent trip to Sattahip in the East of Thailand was Koh Kham Island with its Underwater Park, which is under the care and responsibility of the Royal Thai Navy.

The coral reef looked like sea flowers.
